Anna Hunsberger scrapbook, 1914-1918.

A scrapbook created by Anna Hunsberger to document her years as a Penn State student from 1914 to 1918. It contains several photographs of Penn State's campus, including aerial views and photographs of major buildings, such as Old Main, the Woman's Building, McAllister Building, Schwab Auditorium, and the Stock Judging Pavilion. There are several photographs of campus during the wintertime as well as women from the classes of 1917 to 1921. Other photographs document student activities, such as the class scraps (Push-ball scrap and Tug-of-war), a pajama parade, theme dances (He-She Dance), and women participating in sports and gym class. It also includes photographs of faculty members, President Edwin E. Sparks, and Dean Arthur Holmes. Newspaper clippings concern Penn State football, class scraps, Poster Night (including a poster for the 1917 freshmen), and other student activities. Memorabilia includes dance cards, party invitations, sports schedules, student-faculty directories, letters from freshmen, and playbills from productions of the Penn State Thespians.
